The Artist

Scott Houston is the artist, founder and owner of Scratch Ink Custom Tattooing. He began tattooing at the age of 18. He never apprenticed under any other artists, but instead taught himself, using himself as his canvas. He constantly worked on learning and perfecting new styles and techniques. After 3 1/2 years of hard work he founded Scratch Ink with the help of his friend, Jeff Hale. He currently owns and operates his shop with his wife, Lindsay Houston.

He was born and raised in Upland, California and later moved to Kennewick, Washington, where he began tattooing. He has a certificate in Computer Graphics and Illustration from Chaffey Community College and is currently working towards an Associates Degree in the same field. He has also spent 2 years in the Marine Corp.

Besides tattooing in Washington, he has also worked in Puryear, Tennessee before moving his business to Pocatello, Idaho.
